Hello and welcome to my website.

My name is Henning Meyer, and my expertise intersects public policy, academia, and business. I am the Chief of Staff and Director General at the Saarland Ministry of Finance and Science, as well as an Honorary Professor of Public Policy and Business at Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. Additionally, I serve as a Research Associate at Cambridge University’s Centre for Business Research (CBR) and a Future World Fellow at IE University’s Centre for the Governance of Change.

Previously, I held the inaugural Fellowship at the German Federal Ministry of Finance, where I formulated economic policies in response to the COVID-19 crisis. From June to November 2021, I was assigned to the Federal Chancellor’s Office, leading the creation and execution of a €2.5 billion rescue fund. My academic career includes several visiting and associate roles at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), a John F. Kennedy Memorial Policy Fellowship at Harvard University, and a Visiting Fellowship at Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations (ILR).

My academic background encompasses studies in politics, economics, and business at Trier University, various universities in London, and the University of Oxford. I am a recognized commentator on political and economic issues for major international news channels and a contributor to publications such as The Guardian, DIE ZEIT, Süddeutsche Zeitung, El Pais, Financial Times, Foreign Affairs, and the New York Times.
